Cisco Systems 10 port 4 Gb Fiber Channel Switch Modules for BladeCenter are additions to the BladeCenter switch portfolio which provide higher bandwidth connectivity between BladeCenter's server blades and SANS, via increased internal and external port speed and higher external port count. This expanded connectivity presents a diskless storage opportunity for the server architecture.

• Support for both BladeCenter and BladeCenter T chassis
• Support for BladeCenter H and BladeCenter HT chassis Legacy switch form factor
• Two internal full duplex 100Mbps Ethernet links connected respectively to the two redundant Management Modules for setup and management of the switch
• Ability to support up to 239 domain IDs - actual support depends on the storage vendor support matrix
• Equivalent function to the Cisco MDS 9124 switch
• Uses Cisco SAN-OS and Fabric Manager 3.1
• Connects to the blade servers via seven internal ports (Blades must be installed in server bays 1 to 7; this module can be upgraded to enable all 14 server bays.)
• Offers three external auto-sensing U ports (F, FL, or E) (This module can be upgraded to enable all 6 external ports.)
